I said that "resource" -- the word -- comes from the French Resourdre,
which means to rise up anew or spring up anew. I actually take it to mean
that, even more than being used to accomplish a purpose, a resource does
_not_ get used up. On the contrary, it is constantly renewing,
re-energizing, rising up again. This is a very positive view of a
resource. Under the circumstances, I feel a little flattered now when
someone calls me a resource! A resource is _always_ there...
